The weather also looks pretty nice in Toronto, now I know why Morgan was so anxious to get home last time he was here. Our friends from Blue Tile helped Matix host this event.
Morgan’s new Venture ad
Here’s Morgan’s new Venture ad. Damn he’s all over the place lately. He’ll be back in SoCal in late September for the Vans Downtown Showdown. The ad was shot towards the end of the day by Mr. Mapstone. James Craig, Jake Duncombe, and Felipe Ortiz were in attendance. The footage looks even more amazing than the photo if you can believe that. I’ll be posting some throwaway footage of him soon on the website so stay tuned…

Here’s the newest teaser for the FMS video. After I got done helping out with the Blind video I got the chance to start working with them and from what we have filmed so far it looks like people might be in for a surprise. The video will feature Andrew Pott, Kurtis Colamonico, Darren Harper, Aquil Brathwaite, Felix, Luis Tolentino, and Manny Santiago. Right now were in Barcelona staying in an a apartment that goes for $6000 a week (4,000 euro’s), I guess you could say were living the life…Famous video coming this Holiday season.
I’m so lucky…
Usually I have the worst luck when it comes to the law. I’m always the one that gets in trouble out of the group. So far this trip I’ve been really lucky and havn’t had anything too drastic happen to me, especially since we’ve been to so places and so many airports. We flew into Germany as well as Barcelona and I had no problems it was a miracle. This morning I was chilling looking through all my receipts that I’ve accumulated since I’ve been on this trip and guess what I found? A nice little baggie from who knows when…Thank god I didnt get stopped in customs and made it with everyone else on the trip, well now were about to smoke haha…
We made it to Barcelona today which also happens to be my birthday. It was a little sketchy making it to the airport. After a heavy night of drinking and partying in Colonge, Germany at a music festival our driver was no where to be found so after waiting for him an extra hour we were forced to call a taxi. Everybody was convinced that we were going to miss the plane but we managed to catch the flight and make it to Barcelona. Here’s a couple photos of our trip towards Barcelona and also an inside look at our 4 bedroom apartment that were staying in while here.
So we went to a club last night to celebrate our last night in Berlin… Everybody had good times! Shots were being poured, beers were being drank. We ended up leaving to go to an after-hours club with 2 girls that a few of the guys were able to talk and convince to show us around. So we boarded the train and made way for the club named AM/PM. We never made it there, when were on the train some dude started talking shit to me, so I told him that nobody wanted to fight and that we easily out numbered him as well (probably kinda sarcastically, I’m guessing). So he decided to bitch slap me. After that all hell broke out. We were in the subway brawling and it seemed like more and more people were against us. After fighting riot style for some time we heard the sirens. Long story short we didn’t end up skating the following day till about 2 in the afternoon after we were released from jail. The police released us from jail as victims, not attackers and asked us if we wanted to sue. Here’s some photos I got from Felix’s twitter
Just to break it up a bit, here’s a video I made back in 2004-2005 when I spent a lot time with the now-defunct band called Land. It’s only a short 2min piece when I just learned how to use Aftereffects, but I’m still stoked on the outcome. For more music check out their myspace.

Scott Lee: Pole Jam
Just Scott and I went out skating the other day, he wanted to film me for a bit and I was actually stoked to get a line. After we couldn’t think of any other spots for me to skate, but he remembered this pole jam he did a while back and I was psyched to shoot it. In my opinion the gap and huge rock in front of it are pretty gnarly, but Scott jammed that motherfucker no problem. I really like the pale colors of this shot, it makes him stand out and you can tell the sun is quickly falling. The more I look at it though the more the hot spot on the sidewalk bothers me, way to call out my own fuck ups. Anyways anytime I can skate with the OG razor homies is a good time, let alone if I get a photo out of it. Thanks Rekt.
