Ian Drummond: Frontside Flip
A few of us old men were having a conversation the other day about how skating keeps you young, it truly does. Among the different ways it accomplishes this is the fact that you constantly are hanging out with the new up and comers within skating. There’s always that new little ripper just starting out, that’s something many pros actually worry about out there. If you aren’t on your A-game, those kids are waiting just to take the wheel. This is Ian, he’s one of those kids. Doesn’t matter if it’s flat ground or down a flight of stairs, he blasts his shit like he’s jumping over a hurdle. Not to mention he’s got some nice flow to his skate game. We were in Arizona and this was the last spot of the day, just moments before a mini-tornado swept through Ian blasted out this bangin’ frontside flip. Coincidentally this photo was also the first time I ever used flashes, I rented them and was basically figuring out how to use them while Ian was trying. Lucky me it turned out, I work well under pressure. Anyway look out pros this guy wants your job. Oh and I’m gonna get a little interview with Ian up here soon, just gotta get some stuff together and maybe another photo or two. Holler Ian!
